For Apprentices

Real work. Real credentials. Real career.

You can't get a job without experience. You can't get experience without a job. Common Fabric breaks that cycle — by giving you real client work, senior mentorship, and a credential for every hour you contribute.

THE PROBLEM

Entry-level hiring dropped 73.4% in 2025.

Recent graduates can't get hired without experience they can't get without being hired. The old ladder is gone — but a new one is being built.

Common Fabric is the institutional answer to that structural failure.

WHAT YOU GET

Everything you need to launch a real career.

Not a bootcamp. Not a simulation. A registered apprenticeship with real clients, real deadlines, and real mentorship from practitioners who've done it for decades.

Real client work

Build actual apps, dashboards, and tools for real community organizations — not fake projects no one will use.

Senior mentorship

A Principal with 15+ years of experience leads every studio. You're not learning from tutorials — you're learning from practitioners.

Prova credentials

Every verified hour earns 1 PVA — a portable, soulbound proof-of-service credential that follows you anywhere.

Cohort model

You work in a team of three: designer, developer, product manager — mirroring real product team structure.

Portfolio that proves it

By the end, you have a real product you shipped, a verified credential for every hour, and a cohort you trained with.

Certificate progression

Certificate I builds your M-shape. Certificate II converts to a T. Certificate III expands you into X.

THE APPRENTICESHIP

How the Academy actually works.

1

Apply and get matched

Apply with your track preference — design, development, or product management. We match you to a cohort based on availability.

2

Work on real projects

Six-week fixed cycles. A real community organization. A real deliverable. A Lead Practitioner who coaches you through it.

3

Earn Prova as you go

Every verified hour of community service earns 1 PVA credential. They accumulate on-chain as proof of what you actually built.

4

Graduate with proof

Leave with a shipped product, a Prova-verified record of 400+ hours, and certificates that prove what you can do.

YOUR CREDENTIAL

Prova — proof of what you built.

Not a certificate that says you sat through a course. Proof of the actual projects you shipped, the hours you contributed, and the impact you made.

Portable

Travels with you to any employer, any platform. No lock-in.

Verifiable

Cryptographically signed. Any employer can check what you built.

Honest

1 hour = 1 PVA. No inflation, no multipliers, no speculation.

PROVA (PVA)

1 verified hour = 1 credential

• Non-transferable — yours alone

• Soulbound — can't be sold or traded

• 24-month expiry — stay active

• Machine-readable by any employer

• Built on Ethereum Attestation Service

WHO THIS IS FOR

Built for early-career builders.

Designers

Product & Visual Design

UI/UX, interaction design, user research, visual systems. You want to design products people actually use, not just pretty screens.

Developers

Engineering & Build

Frontend, backend, or full-stack. You want to ship real code that runs in production, not tutorial projects.

Product Managers

Strategy & Delivery

Discovery, scoping, delivery, stakeholder management. You want to lead a real product, not practice frameworks.

Applications open for Cohort 1.

A cohort of three: one designer, one developer, one product manager. Real clients, real products, real mentorship.

COMMON QUESTIONS

What apprentices ask us.

Do I get paid for the work?

Client contract work is paid. Common Fabric publishes regional hourly rates. Community service hours earn Prova credentials, not direct pay.

What happens if I drop out mid-engagement?

Attrition is planned for. First-quarter departures are replaced from the pipeline. Later exits are handled case-by-case.

Is this a bootcamp?

No. It's a federally recognized Registered Apprenticeship Program — supervised on-the-job training with real deliverables.

Do I need prior experience?

You need foundational competency in your track. Not a senior portfolio — genuine aptitude and willingness to learn fast.

What do I leave with?

A shipped product, 400+ hours of Prova-verified credentials, a cohort network, and certificates that prove what you built.
